The minor service

So I decided to do a minor service. It’s not difficult, but some tips and preparation make life easier. This isn’t the full LR approved service as per the checklist, just a quick oil & filter change.

I did some shopping and got the following:

  • GUD airfilter
  • GUD oilfilter
  • 10l of Castrol Magnatec 10w-40 oil (never skimp on oil quality in my opinion)
  • 1 copper sump washer (donated by my friend Dale)
  • 1 sumpy oil container.
  • A chain type oil filter wrench (I was told later the strap type is better)
The fuel filter & spark plugs I’ll do later sometime.
